This function locks or unlocks the current layer.


When the selected layer is locked it can not be modified, a warning message is displayed in the work area and the cursor becomes.


To lock / unlock the layer:

•Select Layers menu > Layer visibility > Lock / unlock layer

•Or click on the button in the Layer toolbar

•Alternative method: click on the button next to the thumbnail of the layer
