Fill tool
The Fill tool allows you to color an area bounded by a border.
To fill an area:
•Select the Fill tool from the main toolbar.
•Choose a fill color thanks to the different means of color selection (palettes, color panel, ...)
•Adjust the tool parameters (threshold, pattern)
•Click a point inside the bounded area to fill.

Threshold |
This value (1-255) defines the color comparison threshold, the lower the threshold, and the closer the colors must be to be considered equal. Conversely if the threshold is high, two even distant colors will be considered equal. The comparison takes into account the transparency of the colors. The threshold is used to set the boundary between the inside of the zone and its border. A high threshold allows partial coverage of the border. On the overlap area, the fill color is mixed with the color of the border depending on the transparency of the border. |
Pattern |
Allows you to select a type of fill pattern. Select a value from the drop-down list. The No Pattern value causes a uniform filling with the color of the brush. |
Loads a pattern image. Any image whose format is recognized by the application can be used as a fill pattern. |
|
Allows to reset the pattern if it was loaded from a file |
|
Use the colors of the pattern |
If a pattern is used, if this option is checked, the color of the pattern image is used, otherwise the color of the brush is used and the pattern is used as a mask. |
